Who are the 3 Puutties?? The 3 Puutties are our three kitties that live with us and are our inspiration for Puutty Power. This is our website blog that is also dedicated to their often comical daily lives!
The first of the 3 Puutties consist of Hip Hop who is a black Mancoon mix originally from the San Berdino area. He was rescued in May of 2001 from a home of 3 kids and about 10 kittens and cats! He was so thankful! However, his hatred for the car is legendary and carryies on to this day!
Next came NYLA in 2005! NYLA which stands for New York, Los Angles. She and her brothers and sisters were rescued from behind a dumpster in the pouring rain in Long Island, NY. All of them had a bad case of upper respiratory congestion. While they all recovered, she never fully did and continues to live with the symptoms to this day. She is a very colorful Calico Tortico. She has the attitude of a New Yorker but can be extremely lovey at times. However, she can change her mind in a heartbeat, and you do not want to be at the other end of her claws when she does!
Finally, we have Lola, AKA-Mamas! Lola is a tiger tabby who was rescued from a street adoption on Ventura Blvd in Sherman Oaks, CA in August of 2006. She was found as a little kitten who was only about 5 weeks old. She was a stray kitten who found her way into a local family's backyard. The family then took her in and soon found out that the mom was allergic to Lola. The were driving by the street adoption and decided to drop Lola off there. She was then put in a cage in the dog section and sat there like a tough girl just ignoring all of the dogs barking. We saw her and asked about her and they said that if we wanted to foster her we could. What started as a foster, soon turned into a new member of the family! The reason why Lola is called Mama's is because, one day we were asking her, "Do you want Mama's to feed you?" She responded by doing a double meow that sounded like mama's. So from that day on she always meowed with the sound of Mama's! She really does not answer to Lola, she only answers to Mama's.
The 3 Puutties all have their own personality and have been the motivation for Puutty Power. While they all came from different places and different litters, today they are all family! We would love to hear about your puutties origin stories!
